There Will Be Some PlayStation Network Maintenance On Monday 10th March

Sony has just announced that the PlayStation Network will be going through some maintenance on Monday 10th March, and it will apparently last for around five and a half hours. If you’re in the Pacific time zone of North America then that will mean it’s down during 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, while those on the Eastern side of continent will have an outage between 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

However, for us denizens in the UK that maintenance will take place once again in peak time from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM. However, if you sign in from any point from now until the network goes down you’ll be able to play online and access apps like Netflix. Account management, the PS Store and PlayStation Home will all be inaccessible. Sony’s advice is sign in as soon as possible so you can still play online on Monday evening.

There’s no clue as to what this maintenance is for and be prepared for it to take slightly longer than advertised, just in case there’s a hiccup along the way.

  1. How come psn has to go down for maintenance but live doesn’t? Not knocking it, just wondering why.

    • More years experience in networking and LIVE has always had a stream of income from Gold members.
PSN has come a long way, and free in the beginning. It never has matched LIVE and still doesn’t IMO, but it does a great job and PS+ is great value. A few hours downtime doesn’t bother me tbh if it means PSN remains as good or receives enhancements.

    • The whole power of the CLOUD is used to Keep Live online at all times….
