SCEA is claiming that sales of the PS3 have increased 135% in the States across the top 5 retailers since the price dropped of the 60 gig model to $499 (£250).

We’re hoping that the E3 software line-up had something to do with it, but essentially its hard to see why a £250 console that features amazing Blu-ray capabilities, online browsing and plenty of other media options wouldn’t sell. £250. The European sales would rocket if it was £250 over here.
