4One of the first Profile 1.1 Blu-ray films, Resident Evil: Extinction, will feature PS3 demos for Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5, a great way to push PS3 content to film buyers. The disk will contain picture in picture features and Blu-Wizard 2.0 technology which means more interactivity. The film will release in the States on the 2nd of January, no word on a UK date yet sadly, but we’re hoping it’ll be region free. Unless we get a further update before then, we can also then assume the PS3 Blu-ray player is now 1.1 compliant.
Update: they might just be trailers, not playable demos. We’ll try and get clarification on this.
