26LittleBigPlanet was due for some kind of beta this year and a release early into 2008 alongside Metal Gear Solid 4, but the chances of that happening for anyone outside Media Molecule are now pretty much nil. What’s more saddening is that ThreeSpeech seem to know something we don’t – that LBP is actually not due before next September. A Sony representative has responded to enquiries from Shacknews saying “We have not provided a release date for LBP yet. We will be doing so soon.”
2008 seems a bit sketchy and vague to us at the moment, so some kind of release calendar for first-party titles would be very welcome indeed.
