Sony’s Freeview/HDD combo, Play TV, is now up on Amazon at £80, listed as the 31st of October, despite saying 31st of July only an hour ago. £80 might seem like a lot, but don’t forget Play TV is already HD capable for whenever Freeview catches up, and of course you’re only limited by the size of the hard drive inside your PS3 in terms of storage. Still, it’s neither an official date nor a price, but it’s worth keeping an eye on that Amazon page to see if they change it again.

Update: Oh, looks like Sony have already commented on this and clearly denounced Amazon’s speculation. Still, they managed to sell quite a few pre-orders given that’s it’s seventh on the Bestsellers list…
