So, whilst multiplayer GTA IV was plain-sailing all weekend, as soon as launch day comes around the damned thing fails to pieces. If it’s not locking up when you try to boot the game, it’s not letting you connect to the online portion, at least here in the UK.

Despite furious attempts over the period from 6.30pm till 10.00pm last night, we couldn’t connect once. Not once. Thankfully, the single player managed to keep us busy some more, but we can’t help be disappointed by the lack of online, especially as we’d planned to create some free-roaming havoc. We also noticed that Niko’s in-game phone model completely matches the HUD version in the bottom right of the screen, even down to the precise text as you scroll about. Cute.

Anyone else have problems with GTA IV last night?
