So, yesterday we reported on the potential firmware fix for GTA IV issue that an alledged Rockstar employee had posted about on the official PlayStation forums. Fair enough, until someone decided to then add said story to N4G under a sudden torrent of ‘fakes’ and ‘bullshits’ the likes of which we’ve never seen before. Sure, it might not be true, and is most likely some forum user with a big ego, but for a while it was big news before being pulled from the site…
Until this afternoon, when both PS3 Fanboy and JoyStiq pick up on the rumour (with only PS3 Fanboy giving a link back to the forums) which then appears back on N4G again without the abuse. So if PS3 Fanboy posts the exact same story suddenly it’s not fake, guys?
If anyone’s not familiar with N4G, this is the site that made how to change the PS3’s video settings one of the hottest stories a couple of weeks back. And to everyone else – if you want your news on the day it happens, stick with us.

Yeah u guys are cool, but what happened with software BC story was that an april fools cos still no BC SKU in europe!!!

We could learn form GTA – get some rocket launchers and M4s and fine the people who run N4G.
