Ah, Greenberg, you do cause a smile in these parts. It’s been a while since we last listened to the Major Nelson podcast, but now and again it does throw up some real gems. Like the latest one, in which our friend Aaron has this to say with regards to pieces of downloadable content:

We’re at 17,000: the PlayStation Network is just around 600 items,‘ he said. ‘This is like comparing a Wal-Mart superstore or a Cost-Co to your local Quickie Mart, right? It’s at extreme ends… In the first year we had more than 600 items. We were way ahead of that.

Excellent, so now Microsoft are counting paid for gamerpics as valid downloadable content, huh? He also goes on to say that the size limit for Arcade titles has been raised to the bizarrely arbitrary 350 meg, from 150. This will, according to Greenberg, allow for ‘better games‘. Bigger size = bigger games, now. Oh, Microsoft, when you’ve got downloadable games like Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Warhawk and Wipeout HD, we’ll talk.
