Freeview code already in 2.41. Hardware dated for September.

96Clever, Sony. We’ve seen the ‘TV’ icon in the Theme Builder for a while, but we had no idea that Play TV functionality is already in the firmware. So, we just need the hardware, which, according to David Reeves, is due out on the 10th of September.
“It was very difficult for some of the tech guys but we had to include it in the firmware upgrade, 2.41, but it’s done now,” he said, speaking to Eurogamer in an interview to be published soon. The hardware is expected to cost 99 Euro when it launches this Autumn.
Reeves also confirmed that you will be able to record live TV to the hard drive whilst playing a game, but there’s no word on picture-in-picture yet.
