96Thanks to EdgeFusion on our forums who informed us that Firmware 2.42 is up and ready for download to your PS3s. Not sure what he’s doing up at 5 in the morning, but us Sony Ninjas do work right through the night.
Eric Lempel, Director of PlayStation Network Operations and a damned good looking chap to boot has officially confirmed the update, although there’s no changelog. “This update improves the playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software,” he said. We did notice that Trophies load a bit quicker.
The recent BD-J homebrew stuff is still working, by the way, and we reckon it’s to prepare us for Life With PlayStation as we said on Monday, and the new Home beta which is rumoured to be landing on Thursday.
