Far Cry 2: PS3 Version

Wondering how the PS3 version of Far Cry 2 is working out?  Well, don’t worry - somebody with a camera has saved the day, as if it needed saving what with it being a lovely, sunny Tuesday, rain pishing down like it’s the apocalypse and all.  Anyway, here’s the goodness:

Looks fine to us, certainly on par with the 360 version.  Sure, it’s no Killzone 2, but then nothing is, so it’s best to get all the other FPS’ out before the bohemoth rolls in.

I’ve had a soft spot for crytek since Far Cry 1. Nice to see them putting the work in. Watch and learn Valve, watch and learn.

Crytek have nothing to do with this sequel, it’s in-house Ubisoft who are the devs on it.

I’m a little disappointed in the console versions tbh, the textures look too flat and smoothed :(

Looks like a PC purchase for me (cheaper too ;).

IMO this looks way better than Killzone 2. What’s so innovating about it? Maybe the gray colors and generic gameplay, (I’m referring to the multiplayer gameplay video).

Far Cry 2 on the other side is creative with an interesting setting and fun looking gameplay. But I guess we’ll have to wait and see, Im glad Far Cry 2 comes this month though

    you must be seriously joking…right???

i can see his point in that far cry looks alot more bright colourful and beautiful than the dark dank greys of killzone.
likewise with uncharted and gears of war, i prefered the visuals to uncharted for the same reason despite them both being amazing

I’m so excited about this. The only thing is that controlling FPS games is so much easier with keyboard and mouse so I might get this one on PC.

This looks brilliant, The graphics look amazingly sharp.
And if the multiplayer if half as good as COD4 it will be a very worthy buy

Ohhh dearrr!!! Do people still compare PS3 & 360 graphics nowadays?

    Eldave0

not that I know of :S only comparing the visuals between two games. the console its on is irrelavent, considering far cry 2 is coming out on both
