Seems like Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, once thought to be a PS3 exclusive, will also launch on the Xbox 360, if rumours are to be believed this morning. Despite the arcade machine running on a PS3, it seems the era of third party single-platform games is well and truly over.
More when we get it.

Sony need to sort themselves out and pay people for exclusives if they have to - Microsoft do.

That’s exactly why Sony need to start paying. BECAUSE Microsoft are buy the exclusives from underneath them.
I’ve never heard something so childish as buying FFXIII and making everyone else wait for Sqeenix make it for the 360 cos Bill flashed a few monies.
Sony are a business. They need to act like one.

MetalGear360 Anyone?
October 9th, 2008 at 10:36 am
Does anyone actually give a crap about Tekken any more? I haven’t played one since Tekken tag….makes no difference to me I wont be buying it for 360 or PS3…
Eldave0 Says:

ill admit i havent played a tekken since tag also but it doesnt escape the fact its still a HUGELY popular series particularly in Japan and was one ofthe only exclusives sony have left.
today is the first day I have regretted selling my 360 for a ps3 and im sure im not alone on feeling like that

You regret selling a machine that could play Tekken for one that still plays Tekken? What has happened today to make you regret owning a PS3 :S The machines are pretty close to having the same content across the board…
And Sony didn’t leave anything…just makes more sense for Namco to have multiplatform games..ie make more money, its not big deal unless your a fanboy!

well no i didnt mean just tekken
sorry, i didnt mean specifically today, more over the past months and todays news was the straw that broke the back so to speak.
The rubbish with tomb raider underworld and 360 owners getting a demo and more content.
Haze being a let down (was really looking forward to that).
Constant delays.
The sloppy implementation of trophies and older games (Burnout?).
Losing exclusives - Tekken and Final Fantasy.
The only good news I have heard about the ps3 in the past months is we are getting a better version of BioShock (and no i have no interrested in LittleBigPlanet)
It’s just a shame because it is a great console, but we are blatently losing this war on all sides and its quite a downer

Ha I see were you’re coming from. I bought my PS3 to play the big multi-platform games (GTA COD etc) and LittleBigPlanet so I’m happy with it. Tomb raider? Another franchise I left on my PS1 ha….it may be good I guess, I dont hang to much on “Exclusive DLC” as a real hook for me.
Trophies have been a bit on and off but once they’re implemented they work…meh…they interest me about as much as achievements so not alot.
I can see your reasons for being annoyed I just think at the end of the day there isn’t much difference and other than not having Braid I have prefered PSN’s offerings. but losing exclusives doesn’t really effect anything as long as you still get to play the game…. meh I will stop rambling.
I think I am getting old and un interested in the console wars that I enjoyed in my youth…you can go buy an Xbox for £100 now if you want one… There is no war to win… the PS3 is enough of a success its not going to do a Dreamcast and third parties make games for both systems.

wow a structured arguement.
so rare to read such things on forums
yeah to be honest at the end of the day so long as I get to play Bioshock, tomb raider, dead space and fallout 3 this year it doesnt really matter what platform its on so…
October 9th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
I think people get in a tizzy and forget the difference between an exclusive and a game that is going to appear on both machines.
The PS3 has loads of exclusives, let’s not forget that: LBP, Resistance, Motorstorm, Warhawk, WipEout HD etc.

hahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahah! HAHAHAHAHA Tekken on xbox!???? hahahahaha how the funk is that gonna work on those chunky beef burger controllers!!???
October 9th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
The title of this article scared me, I though it meant it wouldn’t be on PS3 AT ALL!
As long as we still have multi-platform releases on the PS3 I’m not too unahappy and now the developers are getting their heads around PS3 we should start seeing the better versions on our platform
Eldave0 Says:
October 9th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
problem is “better versions” dont really boost sales.
popular exclusives on the other hand….
October 9th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
The drawback with PS3 exclusives going multi is that the 360 doesn’t have the power or storage space (DVD vs BD+HDD) of the PS3 so when they take a title multi-platform they have to design to the 360’s limitations leaving masses of space on the PS3 Blu Ray disc and lot’s of lower spec graphical jiggery-pokery.
Imagine Call Of Duty 4 if they’d been able to use the power and storage that Metal Gear Solid 4 used.
GamerRiley Says:

I think we’ll see this “graphical jiggery-pokery” you say of when Killzone 2 is released, EXCLUSIVE to PS3.
