You know this may not be true,because we have all heard about the problem with having multiple discs.Plus it was suppose to be exclusive from the get go with no chance of it coming to xbox 360.I read the story about this rumor resurfacing on Kotaku earlier.When I read all the comments posted there was a lot of fanboy ranting going on,but out of all the comments posted not one thought about the fact that with the new xbox experience,also comes option to install games to hard drive.Now while that does not help with the fact that microsoft screws developers on licences for multi disc games.It does prove that Metal Gear Solid 4 would in theory be possible on the xbox 360,though it would take a massive amount of space lol.Just wanted to plant that little seed in everyones head.I dont care either which way I got it on my ps3 and loved it,but no one else has even mentioned this.And no I am not a fanboy lol I just like a great game no matter the system.

It’ll take many discs to make MGS on 360. Doesn’t seem logical,and it would end up costing Konami more money to put the game or more than one disc.

Developers are finding it extremely hard to cope with financing the cost of such games on blu ray.
Plus to be fair the detail in MGS4 isnt that special, its fairly dissapointing blu ray wise to have that sort of resolution and still see pixels here and there.
My guess is the space was majority used for the cut scenes which had the brilliant detail and probablyly wouldnt have been so good on the 360.

Kojima keeps talking about a different project every time, and every time its never happened.

Kojima, and Konami talks bollocks.

Remember when MGS4 was the last MGS game? then they said no, it was the last outing for Snake. Then it was the last time Kojima would be involved with Snake.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Kojima has signed off the project to concentrate on whatever he’s alluding to announce at next years TGS:

and Konami will get someone else to produce MGS5 in a shoddy and generally disappointing manner, thus not technically lying but deliberately misleading all their loyal fans. Like when they said PES09 would be good.

You are both right. MGS4 filled an entire Blu-Ray. Seeing that with each installment in the franchise Kojima seems to raise the bar higher, it won’t make sense to take the series back a few steps.

While I think Sony has the correct strategy of investing money in first party developers, as opposed to paying tons of money to keep a title off of the 360. In the case of Metal Gear I think investing the money to keep the title exclusive would be worth it.

this is crap, kojima confimed that it’s impossible on 360, and now they say there are looking at making part 5 multiplatform, it’s bullsh*t, if the 360 isn’t able to run part 4, then it also isn’t able to run part 5.

This really may hamper the game, unless it goes multi-disk on the 360 (but Microsoft allegedly screw developers on licences for this)

I don’t have the exact figures of how much space was taken up on the MGS4 BD but I believe most exclusive games come in at 20-40gig
