New PSN game announced

Pompom Games have announced side-scrolling shooter Astro Tripper which is a follow-up to their 2001 title Space Tripper. It seems to be a side-scroller much like any other, you shoot stuff until you get a weapon power-up so you can shoot more stuff.
It features:
• 1080p graphics.
• Vibrant 3D visuals and effects.
• Global online rankings.
• Unlockable challenge games.
• Trophies!
If you like to kill stuff with lasers while traveling sideways then this is probably the game for you. Check out the screenshots and some more details at the Pompom Games website.

The website says nothing about a 360 release although it is coming to PC as well so it’s not an exclusive. Console exclusive though, maybe.

Kiddie games??? i take it you never cut your teeth with classics such as r-type, forgotton worlds,x’d exes, contra etc…i cant wait for some hi-def, side/vertical scrolling shooty/dodgy madness…BRING IT ON!
p.s feel ski just sits on my hard drive, looking at me as if its just fallen off the ski lift with a broken leg…’yeah well its no use looking at me, you’ve made your sodding bed, now lie in it!’

these kind of games are great for the PSN. Not real big give you a lot of replay and is rather cheap.

Sweet, I love me my side-scrolling shooters. Trophies = bonus. Dunno when I’ll actually get round to playing it, unless it’s released in 2009 =/.

Shame we can’t get R-Type like XBLA that looks amazing!!!
PSN has some great games, I love turning on my system, not having to mess about changing disks and having a game on something for 5 mins, and turning it off again
From Warhawk to Feel Ski, something for everyone (well maybe not Feel Ski…)
