Capcom are getting their own space on the Playstation Store if Edge is to be believed (and they are). There is even mention of a 3D space within Home but nothing confirmed.
I’m not sure if this is a good idea or a bad idea. I certainly don’t mind the compartmentalising of the Store but I’d rather it wasn’t filled with ”retro” like Mega Man. I also think that there is a danger of certain developers thinking of themselves as “premium” and charging more than they would if they had to compete in the same space as others. I do think it might lead to more content on the store and that can never be a bad thing can it?
Is this just a one-off or will we see other big developers setting up their own stall on Sony’s market?

I’d sooner them spend time play-testing their PS3 releases, so we don’t end up with shoddy delays like Age Of Booty
I can only see this sort of thing happening more, whether it’s a good thing or not, well only time will tell

I think this is going to be great. 3rd party devs can have their own area on psn store to advertise their current crop of games, just to be released games and upcoming titles. We could have exclusive videos of the PS3 version of the game and not the 360 version, downloadable content, news form the developer, wallpapers, screen shots, behind the scenes vids, pictures, memorabilia for sale, die casts, t-shirts, mugs, pens etc…….the list is endless. All intigrated into Home somehow so you would walk ito their 3d shop would be cool. Sorry I’m getting ahead of myself without thinking about it, would be good though.

Why should they have their own space as opposed to a original developer like Q-games?

I hope this help to a closer relatonship between sony and capcom, so we don’t get more “incomplete” games. i mean, i would like custom soundtrack and trophy support on all my games from launch.

I wish Taito would start releasing their old arcade games on either the PSN or XBLA – I want Chase HQ!

There were rumours about Home including arcade spaces that had games you could play from within Home, not sure what happened with that. I was hoping for Pac-Man myself…

Pac Man would be great. Thinking about it any old arcade games in Home would be fantastic. Reliving the old days in the arcade with a hand full of 10p’s

In fact all developers/publishers Stores could launch from within Home
Just go into their ’space’
Then check out their store along with whatever else you can do in their
It will work a treat
