PS3 Sinks In Japan
Incredible news, as the 360 outsells the PS3, again, in Japan.Published: 8:44, 23/10/2008 by Staff.
Japan, normally the bastion of the PlayStation brand and usually where the 360 doesn’t sell, at all; but times are changing. Microsoft’s new emphasis on RPGs is paying off in the land of the rising sun, where the 360 has outsold the PS3 again. This week, according to Famitsu,the 360 has sold 6000 machines whilst the PS3 just 4800.
Those numbers are almost insignificant though against the Wii’s 25,000, and the brand new PSP 3000′s 156,000. However, when you realise that the PS2 is selling more than the PS3, things need sorting. Here’s the full list of consoles sold last week:
- PSP - 156000
- DS - 34000
- Wii - 25000
- PS2 - 7800
- 360 - 6000
- PS3 - 4800
What are your thoughts on this? Why is the PS3 struggling just now, despite some killer games? Are people just holding out for LittleBigPlanet, or is there something seriously wrong?
