We revealed the GTA IV Trophy list a while back,and we can now reveal that they’ll be available for hunting from Monday the 27th. Strangely, it appears that Rockstar are calling them ‘PS3 Achievement Trophies’ and not just Trophies, but regardless, you’ll no doubt not be surprised to hear that they’re not retroactive – new game time, guys.

So why aren’t trophys retro-active? Is it a cunning ploy to get us to play these games again? (And keep us sweet til Sackboy arrives!)

It will probably be the same problem Burnout Paradise had, they wanted to award trophies retro actively but had to change it at the last minute because it is not “technically possible” at this time. I’m sure R* would have awarded retroactively if they could have. Anyway, i’m looking forward to getting 100% again, haven’t been on it in quite a while and will fill up time nicely over my half term break

Oh great, another game to play through again, but the thing is, this is GTA, I haven’t completed that yet, and I got it on launch. Ah well, suppose it gives me something to do when I’ve finished completing Uncharted, and until LBP comes out.

Great beat the story 3 weeks after I got the game and pretty much stopped playing after that. Time to get back into it. Maybe this time I can beat it 100%
