Want to play through Mirror’s Edge’s prologue, tutorial and a snippet of the single player game?  Well, rejoice! We’ve just been told that the game will see its first playable demo tomorrow as part of the PSN Store Update. We don’t have any more details other than the information above, but we’re desperately keen to get our hands on the first person free-running shooter so this week’s update is already a winner in our eyes.  Good stuff.

  1. Looking forward to it. I just hope “PSN store update” includes the european store.

    • Could you not just sign up for an American account?

  2. Excellent news. I hope the demo sucks so I’m not tempted to spend more money or I’ll end up having to give my mrs half the PS3 games in the divorce…

    • She can have ‘Feel Ski’ you get ‘Far Cry2′

      • I like your logic.

      • but as that is installed on the ps3 wouldnt that mean she’d be taking the ps3?
what use is far cry 2 if the ex has the ps3?

  3. can’t wait for the demo :D

  4. Ooooooh, the bad thing is, if this game turns out bad, id have 2 less games, which means less fun and less trophies… meh, i’ll prob get them anyway.

  5. Something in the store update I’m looking forward too

  6. I have been tempted by this, it’s been one of the trailers I use to show to my co-workers and they are blown away by the visuals (me too).

I guess we’ll find out if I need to put something else on pre-order…

On the subject of another demo released this week, Lara who?

  7. I’m hopeful for this game! I want it to be good as it looks to be quite an entertaining game. I have also been thinking horribly dirty thoughts about the main character, Faith. Don’t disappoint me!

    • I’m sure she won’t.

  8. I hope the exclusive marketing deal works out for both parties

  9. This game looks great. A completely new idea imo and can’t wait to play the demo. Pity we never see Faith properly.

  10. I think the trailers look great, but I’m looking forward to the demo because I’m very worried it will make me feel quite sick after a while, with the first person bobbing up and down and jumping.

  11. I will be looking forward to checking out the demo. The concept seems like it should be a home run. It is on my list of up coming games.

I saw an interview that mentioned that the creator’s used a ridicule to help ease any motion sickness. If you noticed on any of the trailers, there is a small dot that you use as a ridicule to center the character.

    • reticule, surely?

      • unless you’re casting a harry potter style spell, in which case it “Riddikulus”

  12. Downloading now from EU Store…

  13. This is wicked

I really can’t say much more.

Only slight problem is playing on an SD TV and being colour blind. Makes seeing the red I need to hit a little hard to see at times

  14. probably the wrong place to ask I know sorry but any news on a 360 demo? couldnt see one last night on the marketplace

    • It’s up today.

    • Sony’s exclusive marketing arrangement meant it couldn’t appear on Wednesdays ‘marketplace’ update before thursdays PSN,
So MS put it on at 12:01 am friday morning, kinda like TSA’s James Bond review, unless their server time was out by an hour also ;-)

      • ace, thanks :)

  15. LOL, also if you got sucked in to the Crappy Locoroco, she can have that too, and you get LBP, oh what fun deals are.

  16. Clearly the reason that you can download games to five different PS3s.
