PS3 To Get Waggle?

GamesIndustry DOT Biz reports that Sony are more of a mover and shaker than we ever thought, with this news of a patent for a PS3 motion controller.

If you have a looksy here, you’ll notice some lovely words being used such as ‘image analysis’ and ‘ultrasonic communication’. Clearly, that sounds much better than the Wii’s waggle.

Reading the patent stuff it appears that the controller may well be a multi-part affair, with the ability to detach and attach bits. So far, so Wii.

Which, in my mind at least, is no bad thing.
