It's the closest thing to a plane that's entered Paradise City so far.

Criterion have announced their second piece of Burnout DLC news and this one is a car pack that features a floating car. That floats. Like, really. You hit the L3 button and the tyres tuck away underneath the car and you can hover around at “head-height”. Actually it’s just like the DeLorean from Back To The Future and even includes burning tires when you hit that boost.

Apparently it’s the first of 4 new cars that Criterion are going to be making available…..soon.

  1. will it be free?

    • Not as far as i can see, they mentioned you would have to buy it, or get a discount for buying all 4 of the cars

      • ah yeah, i read the article.. looks sweet :P

  2. Oh My LORD

  3. That looks awesome!

  4. Wonder what the other cars will be? Personally, I’m hoping for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

  5. How about Mr. Plow off The Simpsons?

    • that would be awesome :p

  6. I hope this is £3.99.

Just so that we can shove it up Sony/Media Molecule’s arse shouting “LOOK, THAT’S WORTH £3.99 BECAUSE IT’S NOT A STUPID F-ING T-SHIRT!!”

    • The LBP thingy is kinda stupid, but why whine about it? You can put together thousand of better costumes from scrap you stumble across in story mode.

      • It’s the lack of respect shown to the consumers that have stood by both companies through an age of delays and waits that most consumers would have got sick of and moved on to a competitor’s product.

We wait, we support, we help to build the hype, we put up with the delay due to piss poor QA process and we buy the game in its first week. Then we get shafted for another 10% of game price if we want to prove that we’re loyal? It’s disrespectful in a way that most people would find insulting if they really thought about what was going on here.

It also sets a disappointing precedence that I feel will only lead to more devs bilking their loyal consumers and less real community support like Criterion have managed with Burnout.

      • Couldn’t have said it better myself. *clap clap clap*

  7. Have people missed a clue?

“It’s the closest thing to a plane that’s entered Paradise City so far”

    Hmmm ‘so far’

Wonder what could be announced before to long

nofi knows everything… everything I tell you

    • Shit does he?, then he must know about….no he couldn’t,..could he? Shit I won’t tell them a thing!

    • But I wrote that ‘so far’ comment and I just meant that….well it is innit? So far. They had a video on their crash.fm vidcast ages ago of a plane going around Paradise city.

  8. I’ve seen at least one shot of a plane a while back.

  9. I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again.
This SONY is how you should support games!
