20Over on the official Gran Turismo website, news has surfaced of an amazing new experiment involving 4 PS3s and a few copies of GT 5. In amongst other next-generation trials was a method of using the four consoles to each display a quarter of the final screen each, then syncing them together on a new Sony cinema projector, the SRX-S1110, which can display a resolution of over 3840 x 2160 pixels.
Apparently the crowd was “simply amazed by the clarity of the image displayed on the massive 220 inch screen, and the players who participated in the time trial expressed their excitement of how perfectly in focus the screen is even close up, and at the quality of Gran Turismo.” I bet no-one asked when the damned thing would be coming to the PSP, though.
