Minor changes to the PS3’s flash playing capabilities have made it into firmware version 2.53, which is out now, or soon enough.

Indeed
I feel like they care so much more when they send out FW frequently

2.6 is probably the only one worth waiting for, these smaller ones rarely have anything big in them anyway.

Yeah, 2.5 was a bit of a letdown. Has the screen grab feature been implemented in anything yet?
Anyway, I agree, 2.6 = The Beginning Of A Journey. And it’ll be coming to your PS3 on Dec 30th

I think it’s stupid that they make a feature that no one can use. I mean it’s cool so why is it no games have screen grabs.

I thought Flash 9 was included in the previous update?
I would really like it if they enabled custom themes with *animated* backgrounds, that would be really nice I think. I would create a scene with a flower and over time the flower dies, the stem wilts, the petals fall, the colour palette turns monochrome, I think that would be nice.

Beautiful, simply beautiful… Animated backgrounds on custom themes would be nice, I already have too many ideas in my head :S
And the screenshot option should be coming anytime now

I thought the flashplayer was already version 9 with the 2.52 update?
We have a site where you can watch the ‘missed’ programs for the public broadcasters.. maybe this site will finally work.. (kind of iplayer)
@deepmenance
On the day they announced fw 2.52 with Flash 9, Adobe celebrated their 10 years of existance with.. Flash 10….

This is real nice, now I’ll just spend another hour wasting my life downloading a mandatory update when I could’ve been doing something useful like playing COD4…

Doesn’t seem to be out in the UK yet. System update tells me 2.52 is the latest version.

I could do without the flash player options,I want a FW that optimizes the XMB while in-game. I can deal with how slow it tends to be but it would be lovely if that annoyance was irradicated.
