£50,000 is a lot of money to some people. For instance I’m sure Woolworths would like to get their hands on it. Well, they should start developing games then shouldn’t they? Timewasters.
Sony are giving 5 prizes of £10,000 pounds to 5 developers who pitch new ideas for prototypes for the PSN. That’s right, pitch an idea, get some cash to build the prototype, if it’s good it gets on the PSN.
Sounds like win-win to me, devs get a chance and some financing, Sony get some good ideas and access to exciting new devs and we get new content for the PSN.

That’s probably the only time I’ll ever beat you to news, I’m much better at opinion (read: ranting). Welcome to the writer’s club by the way.

Would be awesome to port Sonny to the PSN, but thats not a original idea - more like a ripoff.

With all of this talk about Woolworths, let’s not forget poor old mfi either

MFI? Who are they again? I haven’t seen any MFI stores, save for that one in Crewe. But I don’t even think that’s there any more. Well, even if it is, it won’t be there for long.

Our only MFI is right at the back, and round the corner a bit, in a shopping unit. There’s no wonder they’re going under, its practically hidden. As for Woolworths, they just sell sweets and socks don’t they?

This is a great opportunity for you developers
But seriously, all you need is to pitch an idea, nothing more?
November 27th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
That some what mysterious indie developer Andytorr could be making alot of money soon. I could see the talent when I read his first post.

That was a cheap shot at Woolworths. Yes, they’re in debt and £50,000 isn’t going to be anywhere near what they need. I know some people that work there and it’s terrible for them. I didn’t think it was funny to call them “timewasters”.

Well, I’m sorry if you got offended. I had hoped that people would see the joke for what it was, a joke. Of course the staff at Woolworths aren’t timewasters, they do their jobs. Just like everywhere else that employs people, there will be those that work hard and those that do what they need to get by.
Oh, unless your friends are actually on the board at Woolworths or have a position where they can steer policy, then they’re timewasters.

Totally out of order.
Your anti working class “jokes” are not appreciated.
On a totally unrelated subject have we heard any feedback on Project:SCEE from a while back guys?
