Buy a PS3 from the 18th of December, in Japan, and choose between one of two demo disks - a red one and a white one, according to the official site. Each disk contains a few demos and a few videos, although we’re of the opinion that the contents of the red disk are a little bit naff, with surely most gamers opting for the Resident Evil 5 / MGS 4 combo on the white disk.
RED:
Naruto - Demo
Winning Eleven 2009 - Demo
The Last Guy - Demo
Gundam Musou 2 - Video
LittleBigPlanet - Video
AQUANAUT’S HOLIDAY - Video
AFRIKA - Video
WHITE:
Biohazard 5 - Demo
Metal Gear Solid 4 - Demo
Metal Gear Online - Demo
Senjou no Valkyria - Demo
Ryu ga Gotoku 3 - Video
Demon’s Souls - Video
White Knight Chronicles - Video
Resistance 2 - Video
We’re told that in Japan red is traditionally aimed at kids, with white at adults, which might explain the difference in the disk contents. Still, whatever floats your boat.

Any word on when we’ll be getting the RE5 (Biohazard, what a corny name) demo?

I remember getting a demo disc with my console for the original playstation (before it was called the PSOne) and the PS2 - I was surprised I didn’t get anything with the PS3. Too bad if I bought the console with the intention of just playing whatever was on the demo disk for a week lol

You’d have to be insane to turn down the white Disk!
As for Resi 5 demo it’s being released on the xbox 5th december. Then North America will have it (again Xbox). For ps3 it’ll be released on PSN after the the xbox
Found out there will be a limited edition version again not really fussed about the ps3 version as it gets special making-of video segment which Capcom says was produced by Hollywood staff. Xbox get the cool case, soundtrack etc

Yeah but The PS3 version gives you the satisfaction of a) playing it on the series original brand of console b) with the lights out and curtains closed the PS3 won’t disturb the experience with that apache starting up as with the 360 c) you know you wont get RROD playing one of 2009 hottest games on PS3 d) unless you open up a 360 console and pull out the free chainsaw from inside it, use said chainsaw to carve a gash in your Resi 5 blu ray, the PS3 version will be immortal thanks to its high quality scratch resistant disc. It would feel so wrong to play Resi on anything other than Playstation ( Nintendo is ok-ish i suppose), just like Final Fantasy XIII and Tekken 6.
