News about Home is all bad right?
Nope, TedTheDog (real name) has announced on the official forums that the open beta of Home will be receiving a patch this Thursday.
“and part of this change will be the first step in tackling the connection issues that you’ll know as C-931 errors.”
Please note it says “first step” in tackling the issues, because presumably if there was a magic wand approach to fixing the issues they would already have taken it.
More information will be forthcoming later in the week.
A big thankyou to GamerRiley in TSA’s official forums for the tip off.

Cool. My gal was on this earlier. She signs in with her real name, uses a female avatar as close a look a like as poss to herself. Then moans when some guys are chasin her around home square. I warned her. But I enjoyed the fact she was interested enough to pick up a PS3 pad. I took it straight back the moment she had her avatar dance to “you’ve got the whole world in your hands”, and scrubbed my hands till they were red raw.
But anyway, more patches, updates, and content please! I would love a shadow Moses area!!!

The patch changes the error from C-931 error to “Home is busy. Try again later”. Hehe.
I was on it late last night actually. Got talking to a really cool person from Leeds about footie, PS3, gaming (hating on 360! haha) Really nice relaxed chat. Then along comes this user called Power100Ranger or something like that, dressed as a fat black female with weird make up (looked like Old Gregg to me…) starting getting in our faces and typing abusive and EXTREMELY racist language to us and another black guy who happened to be walking past (w*g, ni**er, f**k off c**ts, gay etc).
Unbelievable. A dude walked over and started telling this person that they were going to ban them (their IP). Guess they were a mod. This abusive person was giving it large again to the mod, saying “I’ll just change my IP”, “I’ll buy a new PS3″.
I submitted a complaint as well as the guy from Leeds, but surely a Mod should be able to insta-ban people like this from PSN altogether for language like that, and even instigate legal proceedings for the racist abuse. Can you be traced through your PSN id?
Makes you wonder about the human race when people like this exist in the world, on something as simple as PS Home.

cool. A visual police presence would be great. And the mod could virtually arrest him/her, take them away to a virtual cell where their account is suspended but their avatar remains locked up where everyone can name and shame then.

That is a pretty bloody cool idea mate (shame) lol…ive just had a quick blast around on the us home (granted not much different apart from the disc game, the fc2 area and drakes) but had some good fun playing pool an winning (a lot of fun when you realise you have to play for ‘play’ shots!) when screw back and ball positioning are brought into play, I’m on it on a ‘regular’.
So if you guys have problems connecting to the EU servers, give your Japanese account or American one a spin (the Japanese one will be updated with Tekken, Soul Calibur and Ridge Racer Lounge and a bigger Namco Museum Arcade Lounge starting the 18th..see its not ALL that bad

Note to sony… it doesnt count as correcting a problem if all you do is rename the error code
