If swinging pirate ships, gassy cats and giant eye balls are your thing then you’re in for one hell of a treat as Joe Vaux, a storyboard artist on the amazing Family Guy publishes a LittleBigPlanet level.

Have a peek at this YouTube preview, it does look fantastic.

Interestingly also on the YouTube page it mentions;

“If you like Joe Vaux’s level, check out the other artist created levels in the Kustom Culture patch coming soon to LittleBigPlanet and help raise funds for the New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund!”

A quick Google for “Kustom Culture” yields no related search results except for a Planet Illogica PlayStation event last November.
So I’m going to go out on a wing, and say that there could shortly be a collection of levels designed by artists which will be available as a premium download, and furthermore proceeds from the sale of this content will benefit the previously mentioned fund. There I’ve said it.

So, this is either a fine example of investigative journalism (of sorts) or every one’s going to claim they already knew about the artisit’s levels Kustom Culture DLC, and I’m going to look as foolish as the time I… well… never mind.

  1. That sounds absolutely fantastic, Simpsons, Futurama, Boondocks, etc. LBP truly is The Daddy.

    • American Dad may just be my favourite

      • Yeah, it’s really got me thinking. These guys have got the potential to make some amazing levels.

      • I’m hoping it’s a load of street artist’s levels. Dalek, thelondonpolice, Kid Robot etc.

  2. New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund!! Woo my hometown.

    • According to my Girlfriend it’s an amazing place. Went to the New Orleans festival in London last year. Dr. John FTW!

  3. This game rocks! The possibilities are endless! Now just need Obama (hope spelt right) administration to release a Whitehouse level. You could be Obama and Drag Bush through and out the Whitehouse back door, then promptly twat him with the frying pan!!!

  4. I thought the level was going to be a bit better looking than it was. Its a bit open :(

    • Just because you’re an LBP genius

  5. Family guy has to be one of my all time favorites can’t wait for this.

  6. Family Guy is amazing i watch at least 2 episodes a night and just alternate which season I watch
So having a Family guy LBP level will be a priority purchase for me

  7. family guy suks, but LBP rocks so ill get it anyway. hope the levels look better than that.

    • You are officially off my friends list. The blasphemy that comes out of your mouth is appalling. :P

      • south park lvls n costumes wud b sooo much better. also red dwarf costumes, seeing as the costumes always come in 4. lmao @ a little lister.

      • Please use English on here. Thanks.

    • My good gracious. If only Dante had known of Family Guy when he wrote Inferno, he would have created a wohole new level of Hell for Family guys blasphemers

  8. The jokes , one-liners , peter-ism’s are full of endless possibilities . This is guaranteed to bring out countless family guy themed levels and it’s just motivated me to play LBP again. I haven’t touched it since andytorr made a themed level but I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s based on ………… :)

  9. Would love to see a Family guy level :P

  10. I would pay through my teeth to see LBP level of the old Commadore 64 game “kickstart”. It has the physics and the 2d scrolling. I loved that game, and a LBP remake would be ace! I’m guessin alot of you won’t have played it.

And anyone who is good on LBP level design- for godsake use the bungie ropes and get a Mad Max thunderdome level made!!!!!

I’d do it myself, but am heavily invested in other ideas. And still learning the ropes.

    • Torr?

      • Is he not still really stressed from his MGS level?

    • Kickstart ruled my childhood. Not as good as the real programme but still amazing. Saturday afternoons used to rule. Oh and wrestling with big daddy.
