Here, here! The news we have all been waiting for! According to SPOnG, Sony is set to spend a massive £4 million on advertising in the first quarter of this year in the United Kingdom, with £2 million going on Killzone 2. I know that we have all been praying for Killzone to be aggressively marketed, with some of our members conjuring up promotion ideas (Sony; you know how to get in touch); so this will come as a great relief to many of us.
Other titles that will be advertised include; the PSP range (including Resistance: Retribution and Buzz! Brain of the UK), Singstar Queen, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2 and Motorstorm Pacific Rift. The marketing expenditure will be split between TV, cinema, online, in-store promotion and “a great deal of PR activity”.
