Just had this in from Activision. Apparently the fate of the earth and the survival of the human race hang in the balance, and it’s up to the Transformers to fix it. Thankfully, they’ve got themselves a new videogame in which to do the fixing, so all stand for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The game, says the press release, propels players straight into an adrenaline-pumping battle for supremacy across the globe where every second and every choice makes the difference between mankind’s salvation and annihilation.

“We are thrilled to announce that after experiencing the rush of commanding colossal robots on their own,” says Rob Kostich, vice president of global brand management at Activision, “players can challenge their friends for the first time ever in full-featured, blistering multiplayer action as their favorite characters.” Set in unique environments across the globe such as Cairo and Shanghai, the game allows players to instantly switch between vehicle and robot modes as they drive, fly, fight and blast their way through intense, pressure-packed levels.

Two of those shots don’t look quite as good as the other 3. There’s going to be a Wii version. Guess which is which.
