TSA Points The Way

TSA points the way, we really do. And now we’re doing it in another way that lets you earn TSA Points when using the site. TSA Points will be a way of seeing who in the Community is contributing to TSA as a whole, and it will be a way that TSA can use to reward those people.

So, how will it work? Well, if you use the new contact form to submit a News tip and we use the story, then you’ll earn TSA Points. If you take part in one of our new podcast features you’ll earn TSA Points. If you make good quality comments or forum posts you’ll earn TSA Points. The handy new league table will show who’s leading the way.

But, you can also lose TSA Points. If you try to spam TSA with comments, forum posts, or even rubbish news tips just to earn TSA Points it’ll have the opposite effect: We’ll start deducting points from you. Why are we doing this? Because we think it’s a fun way of getting you guys more involved and it will give us another mechanism for rewarding our loyal readers.

At the end of each year, around Christmas time, the top 3 TSA Points earners will receive prizes. And during the year there will be spot prizes available to win by the people who’ve earned TSA Points, and certain premium TSA pages and features will be locked to those without enough TSA Points.

The following shows what will earn you TSA Points:

How to gain TSA Points:

• Adding a TSA news story to N4G’s front page: 50 points
• Taking part in a podcast: 50 points
• Submitting a (used) news tip via the contact form: 25 points
• Posting an outstanding comment on a TSA article: 1 point
• Posting an outstanding forum post: 1 point

You can also win TSA Points by:

• Hosting clan matches and organising regular clan games
• Being especially lovely to new members
• Sending us beer

Notes:

• TSA Staff will not be awarded TSA Points.
• Any members with negative or zero points will be ineligible for competitions requiring members to have earned TSA Points.
• The list here may be edited at any time by TSA.
• TSA reserves the right to award and deduct TSA Points for reasons not stated here.
• Members with negative TSA Point scores may find their website priviliges (eg posting comments, access to forums) reduced or removed.
• TSA’s decision is final.
• Points are not transferrable.
