Our readers shouldn’t be surprised, but it appears, according to The Internet today, that Team ICO are ready to show off their new game this year. Legendary developer Fumito Ueda will first officially announce his new title at GDC, and then follow it up with a trailer and gameplay at E3, if we’re to believe CGReviews. “Insiders state that Team ICO’s big secret project has remained secret mostly because it has been without an official title for about 5 months,” says the blog. “The Team, along with Sony, wanted to build tension. With a horde of great games on slate through March of 2010, Sony has been working hard at keeping Team ICO’s project low key, as to keep from drowning the hype train prematurely.”

Sweet – I had no idea about this until I saw it on TSA!
[cough]
Sounds good and possible, though. If it happens, I’m going to run naked down my street. Alright, I won’t, but I’ll be pretty happy.

Ico and Colossus were immense games. Hopefully this one will be the same. I want another game that makes my jaw drop.

Colossus? The only game I know with Colossus in the name was called Shadow of the Colossus.

Sounds good, I bought Ico on it’s re-release, but ( whisper it) didn’t really like it, but SOTC is one of my all time favourite games.

I hope it’s more like SOTC than Ico.

Or they could meld them together?
Or they could do something different, with similarities.
Either way is good, really.

I missed these games as I was in bed with the xbox in those days. By the sounds of it, I missed out on 2 very good titles. May have to check online for some copies.

I really enjoyed SotC, didn’t get to play ICO. I’m really looking forward to their new offering, I can’t wait to see how the game and their visual style looks with Next-Gen graphics…

This is excellent news, I thought SOTC was one of the most original and haunting games of the PS2 generation. You know that whatever team ICO produce for the PS3, it’s going to look beautiful and play with the emotions far more than other titles.
