Creat, the developers of Magic Ball, Cuboid and Mahjong Tales, are working on two more games for the PSN, according to MassHighTech.com. The two games will be consist of a Kart racing game, said to be ‘realistic’ rather than filled with fat plumbers and mushrooms, and a Wakeboarding game. Details on both are thin on the ground (read: non-existant) but it’s encouraging to see the team still working on bringing exclusive PlayStation 3 games to our network. If you’ve not picked up any of their earlier games that do a neat job of plugging the Store’s tighter niches perhaps now’s the time to show your gratitude.

I can’t imagine a realistic Kart racer

It might work…..though I have horrible memories of playing one on the PC back in 1993/94 (I think) and I was glad I didn’t pay for it (it was a demo).
Remembering the colour clashes makes me shudder just thinking about it.

I owned that game. It was awful, the controls were all over the place. Who knew Karts just slid sideways instead of actually turning a corner?

“Plugging tight niches” sounds absolutely disgusting.

Is it possible to make such a game? I can imagine an arcadey one but a simulation, if it can be called that?

The really fast carts actually slide a lot to be honest (probably not as much as that game), depending on how tight the corners are. The track out nearby me, I’ve tried a really fast championship cart, and on this track it would slide through 80% of the corners.
