The European Playstation.com site received its Trophy overhaul yesterday prompting many users to sign in and check out their new Portable IDs. Regular TSAer jediryan123 got a bit of a surprise when he visited the ‘My Account’ section on the UK site, though, as under the heading ‘Do You Own Any Of The Following’ amongst the usual stuff like PSP, PC, WiFi & Mp3 Player was PlayStation®4, where PlayStation®2 should have been.
This is undoubtedly the first time that the word ‘PlayStation’ and the digit ’4′ have appeared next to each other on an official Sony website. Obviously a typo, but keeping in mind that the #2 and #4 keys aren’t next to each other on the keyboard, is it the start of the PS4 hype train? Later visitors to the site were greeted with the corrected PlayStation®2, but luckily jediryan123 had the foresight to take a screen capture and record a vid so that the typo can be kept for posterity.
