CryENGINE 3 Revealed
Right, what have I missed? Crytek showing off their nifty new engine apparently.

15Do you remember yesterday? I don’t, I spent until 11pm trying to sort out absolute & relative positioning in Internet Explorer, in the end I gave up and stuck FIFA on for a bit. Anyway what’s that got to do with the CryENGINE, well nothing but due to the mysteries of IE’s implementation of web standards it caused me to miss out on what could be quite a development in the the future of PS3 games.
Over in San Francisco at the Game Developer Conference Crytek were showing off the third implementation of their CryENGINE, which for some reason they’ve decided to call the CryENGINE 3, this time it was up and running on the PlayStation 3 (and Xbox 360) and it certainly is looking good.
Feast your eyes on the demo below and look out for some pretty lighting features, none of it pre-rendered and all running in real time.
