NPD: PS3 Suffering

In America, nobody wants to buy a PS3. March's NPD sales figures provide uncomfortable reading for Sony.

The figures say it all.  If you’re a PS3 fanboy, now’s the time to go visit another site, because the NPD figures for US console sales across March won’t make comfortable reading in the ongoing playground console war battles:

PlayStation 2: 112K
PlayStation 3: 218K
PSP: 168K
Xbox 360: 330K
Wii: 601K
Nintendo DS: 563K

Yes, whilst sales figures are down across the whole range of consoles in general as the financial crisis bites, it’s the PS3 that seems to be struggling the most this month, especially against the Xbox 360 and, naturally, the Wii.
