Also PixelJunk Monsters is very much playable on the PSP via Remote Play, that hasn’t stopped Dylan Cuthbert and co announcing a brand new remix of the second PixelJunk game exclusively for the portable console. This will be the ‘ultimate’ version of Monsters, with new enemies, new towers and a whole new island.
Dylan tells us that the existing islands will be ‘remixed’ to accommodate the new abilities, but there’ll be a fair whack of PSP-only content too, including some art videos. The new game, dubbed PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, will also support Wifi multiplayer and offer a unique multiplayer icon-based language for quick communication.
Dylan has also let us know this morning that the music for Pixeljunk 1-4, whatever it ends up being called, will be a collaborating between The Orb’s Alex Paterson and Dom Beken’s new venture, High Frequency Bandwidth! Still very much electronic, but certainly a change from Baiyon’s progressive beats in Eden.
