TSA PlayThru

As Tuffcub mentioned on the forums yesterday, It’s Thursday!  Do you know what that means?  Well, all sorts depending on what you generally get up to on a Thursday but this one’s special.  Today TSA is proud to bring you an all new feature that you can really get involved with.

Lady and Gentlemen, may I introduce you to TSA PlayThru!

‘But what in high barnet is TSA PlayThru with it’s jazzy miss spelled trendiness’ I hear you say?  PlayThru is a way for us to all play through a game together and discuss our experiences both on the podcast and in the forums setting points at which to play up to so we’re all on the same page so to speak.  In fact, think of it like a book club where we set a chapter to read up to.

The games we’ll be playing through will have a big focus on story and due to this lovely economy we’ll be picking out ones that are easy on the wallet (read old) so as many of us can get involved as possible. Despite the fact that some of you may have picked up these games before it would be interesting to have your opinions on another play through regardless.  For the first title we’ll be making the decision for you but next time around you’ll get the chance to vote.

So to kick things off we’ll start our first PlayThru with Starbreeze’s superb comic book adaptation of The Darkness. I’ve just managed to get hold of this beauty for under a fiver so have a hunt around and see what price you can get it for (you shouldn’t have to pay more than a tenner) but whatever you do, don’t start playing it yet!

Come the next podcast we’ll give you a chapter/level/point at which to stop playing and think about what you’ve experienced. Then, in the podcast after we’ll be discussing our experiences whilst starting a thread in the forums for you all to get into the discussion. After that we’ll give details on where to continue up to and the whole thing repeats until we finish the game.

- Listen to the next podcast for details of the first round of TSA PlayThru

- Check out the following podcast to find out what we think and join in the discussions in the forums

So there you have it, hopefully PlayThru should spark some interesting debate and, most of all a healthy dose of community fun! Any questions, I’ll be hanging about in the comments section like a bad smell.

Oh, and just so we’re clear, please, no spoilers. The experience would be all the more sweeter if we didn’t have to take away any TSA points m’kay?
