Today is an odd day. Inspiration for an interesting and witty opening are a distant dream, despite plenty of creativity elsewhere. Oh well. Here’s some news.

SCEE have confirmed that the “interactive music TV” service we told you about last month, VidZone, will launch this summer. The service will allow you to watch music videos on-demand on both your PS3 and PSP, with “several Major record labels as well as thousands of Independent labels” set to be involved.

The streaming service will be free and will become an integrated feature of the XMB. You’ll also be able to “put together and save your own music video library, creating custom playlists for every occasion that you can stop, fast forward and rewind”.  We’ve been told a release date of the 4th of June is currently the most likely.
