Not yet the proud owner of a PS3? Don’t tell me, you were waiting for an inFamous bundle, right? Everything depended on you walking out of GAME with an 80GB PS3 and a copy of inFamous in the same box – it happens to all of us and your dreams are possibly just about to come true. Photos have emerged this morning of an inFamous Bundle and a Ratchet and Clank Bundle, the latter coming with two controllers instead of just the one – both reasonably smart moves, although neither, in our opinion, will end up being system sellers.
We’ll chase verification on these with Sony.

So if these are true does that mean the bundle with inFamous will be out on sale on May 29th or so?

I can’t see R&C: Quest for Booty exactly being a sought-after bundle, but inFamous could be a system seller *if* Sony market it right. However, I seem to say this with every big game they release and it never seems to materialise, so perhaps I’ll just leave it there.

Sony? Market products?
Sily, silly thought.

The key to the R&C one is the two controllers, kinda like giving you a £35-40 discount, but it obviously doesn’t cost Sony that much to do it, who knows maybe one day they’ll even include a HDMI cable so people can be HD out of the box.

Good point; I forgot about that. I suppose this effectively makes R&C the more cost-effective bundle (i.e. a £10 game + £35 controller).
I think they would be better dropping the price by £50 odd, rather than adding free games/hardware. Though it’s effectively the same street value, people will react much more positively to a straight price drop.

Considering PS3s sell for £250 these days in the right places, these will probably end up being quite good dealios
