Dylan Cuthbert, the lovely man at the head of Q-Games and its associated PixelJunk subbrand, has let us know what the 4th title in the PixelJunk canon will be: Shooter.
You’ll remember that there was a competition for fans of Dylan’s games to come up with names for the project and then he’d select a winner for his underground water based platform puzzler. The winning name sounds just fine to us, although I personally, naturally, preferred my own choice of Pixeljunk Geo.

Much more memorable – would have got my vote. Though I honestly thought PIXEL JUNK: ELEMENTS would win since so many people were suggesting it.

So they sorted through the thousands of applicants and decided “shooter” was the best? My suggestion was PixelJunk: Crust, which I prefer to shooter. Why didn’t they call eden “swinger”? >.<

i thought it was called Pixeljunk Dylan Cuthbert since it said “Pixeljunk 1-4 is called…” and then continued with Dylan Cuthbert…:P
Shooter however… is a horrible name for that game….

I came up with ‘Blaze’. ‘Shooter’ is a horrible, boring name. From that choice, almost any other name would have been better!

Yeah, me too, as did a couple of pals on another forum I frequent. Not overly keen on PixelJunk Shooter, as it doesn’t sound very original/interesting, does it?! I suppose for those uninformed persons looking to buy the game on PSN though, it leaves no doubt as to what the game is about…?!
