Here at TSA towers we are constantly drawing up ways to get the TSA community engaged in a little friendly competition. Just hours after the announcement of our Red Faction competition we bring you another chance to obtain bragging rights and TSA points.
The TSA tour bus is putting some serious miles on the clock now with another trip through space, as we are travelling to Helghan. Whilst not quite as destructible as Mars, Helghan boasts some truly jaw dropping sights and is a playground for the TSA Killzone clan. You may even see such legendary veterans as pOOpInFlames, yogh_wayne and Roynaldo. Or indeed feel the pain as your body plays host to a bullet from SirGregThorn and his sniper rifle, or your legs blown off thanks to Matty1209 and his C4.
The exciting bit is that this competition is open to all TSA members with a copy of Guerrilla Games epic Killzone 2, and gives you the opportunity to prove you are TSA’s King of Killzone.
As of this June (and onwards) up to a maximum of 30 eager TSA members get the opportunity to take part in a monthly tournament on Helghan in the hope of being crowned TSA’s King of Killzone. The tournament will take place on the last Tuesday of each month, and will be known as “Tournament Tuesday”. Every TSA member that emails me at liam(at)thesixthaxis(dot)com, stating your PSN and TSA ID and that you wish to enter, will get one entry into the hat in the hope of being randomly selected for the tournament. The deadline for entries is midnight on the second Saturday of the month, that being the 13th this month. Selected participants will be notified by midday the Sunday after the deadline. Entries are to be by email only, and any entry not stating a PSN and TSA ID will not be accepted.
The reward for winning the tournament in addition to being crowned King of Killzone is a 250 TSA points bonus. With second place getting 200 TSA points and third place getting 150 TSA points. Runners up will receive 20 TSA points for their participation in the tournament. The newly crowned King as well as the second and third place participants can each give up 100 TSA points from their winnings to guarantee their participation in the next monthly tournament, with the opportunity to defend their honour.
The tournaments will be a straight up body count match with winners being taken from the top three scores. Friendly fire will be on and there is no emphasis on team work, in addition to skill you will need to be fast, focused and greedy to win this event. Your team mates will be just as threatening if not more so than your enemy. These tournaments will take place on maps available at launch only, so everybody has a chance to take part.
This is also a good chance to be noticed and offered a place in the TSA Killzone clan. Any member not already in the clan but being crowned TSA’s King of Killzone will automatically receive an invite to join our fighting force of extra ordinary magnitude.
With the first tournament taking place on Tuesday the 23rd June at 8pm (BST), those wishing to practice with the best, can come along to a TSA open boot camp to brush up on your skills or get some useful intel on who you may be competing with.
So drop me an email, clean your rifles and we’ll be seeing you on Helghan.
Terms and conditions; names will be randomly selected from a hat and the participants list is final. Tournament is open to entries from members of www.thesixthaxis.com only. Any selected participant dropping out before the tournament without at least one weeks notice will forfeit any entitlement to TSA points. The TSA tour bus is not real, and matty1209 is actually quite rusty with C4 these days.
