Will definitely pick this addon asap. Just got Elite license for bikes, but got a couple of races left for cars (second play trough thanks to trophies being added after-released; not being retroactive!).

Perhaps I’ll just buy everything out there for this game, including the toy cars, cops and now this addon.

i have the mini hovercar and the mini ghostbusters car at the moment. the gt nighthawk looks like it will take alot of time…. i only need 1 more mega jump. and all of the showtimes and 22 road rules lol XD

hadn’t played burnout for months after i completed the main island, played it yesterday and hooked again can’t wait to get big surf island and as an added bonus you get toy cars too great! i think i will wait to see if they bundle the rest of the dlc if there not making more, as i lost out on warhawk buyin individualy then they bundled it all a week later.

I agree, 10 IS a bit stingy, I think I got 9 on my first Freeburn session…
Mind you, apparently the Diamond car is apparently a belated “reward” for all the people who complained that they got nothing for completing the 490 challenges in Paradise, so I imagine the 10 island challenges were a token so they could justify including it with the island.

PS, is it just me, or have Criterion got lazy with the new cars? Apart from the Dust Storm (which was previewed getting on for a year ago), every “new” car is based on an existing one. They made a big point of showing off their car designer on their podcasts (I forget his name, but he was japanese) some time ago, so I wonder if he has moved on to pastures new, or is now working on Need for Speed?

I see your point but there is a hell of a lot of scope on the island for other challenges. They could have made it 25 at least. Maybe they will add more challenges over the coming months to keep us amused.

True, but they changed how online challenges worked – they are no longer “number of player” specific on the island.
There may have been 490 on the mainland, but the majority of them were duplicated across the 2 player, 3 player, 4 player (etc) lists. I’ve no idea what the number of unique challenges were, but I bet it was more like 70 to 100.

I’m loving the island at it really has brought me bad to the game in a big way. I never completed the main city so will have to go back and sort that out once the island is done.

It is a shame that I will never get some trophies having started the game way before the patch came out and my refusal to restart the game.

I love Big Surf, it was worth it before I even knew about the toy cars, the island isn’t very big, but it isn’t the size that counts, it’s how you use it. And Criterion used it well.
