From this Thursday for 7 days, the wonderful Super Stardust HD will be just €1.99.  The game, which has been a favourite of ours since it was released 2 years ago and was the first game to allow Trophies, is an absolute snip at that price and is well worth picking up.

There doesn’t appear to be a price cut for the slightly overly expensive expansion packs though, which added a few new modes and a multiplayer option.  Regardless, for a couple of quid you’d be absolutely mad not to pick this one up this Thursday, when we’ll hopefully have a better week than last.

  1. I’ll have me some of that! :)

  2. That’s cheap for a game which is as good as Super Stardust HD.

If the price is €1.99, what will it be in pounds?

  3. For that sort of price it would be rude not to! Roll on Thursday!

  4. Absolute bargain for such a fun game!

  5. Hmm… How much was it in the first place?

I’ve been putting off buying it for some time so it must have been a fair amount over, or maybe I wanted a demo first lol.

Could this be a price cut following suit from PopCaps App price reduction ( http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2009/06/22/popcap-price-cut/ )? I certainly hope so and hope other developers follow suit :P

3 Cheers for Sweet Thursday :)

    • I think there is a demo

      • Confirmed! There is a demo on the PSN store as I saw it on there the other day when I was checking out the expansion packs.

  6. Yeah it’s a great game I had a offer on that game with all the expansion packs but can’t remember how much it was now.

    • I got that, it was only £6.29 and you get all expansions. It’s still on the store at that price so I would go for that one.

  7. For anyone who hasn’t got the game yet, then this price is an absolute bargain!

However, it’s a shame it looks like there isn’t going to be a price cut for the additional DLC as I haven’t got the expansion packs yet!!

  8. I realise it’s probably not 2 years old yet, but is Super Stardust Portable getting a price cut too?

    • No.

  9. Woo,I’ve been toying with the idea of getting it for a while now, and I guess I’ll just need to pick it up on Thursday.
I hope more games will follow suit over the next while.

  10. Thats awesome. shame i already have it. maybe they could combine the price reduction with a temp reduction in the difficulty of some of the trophies! :-)

  11. Everyone forgotten they read about this last Friday?

    • And how it wasn’t worthy of a news post by itself back then?

  12. wow that is cheap…. anyone who hasn’t got it yet just buy it! Its a great game in terms of gameplay and visuals, perfect if you want a quick game for a few minutes or if you want a long haul playing it for hours (though your eyes would probably melt!)

  13. Great game. I’ve had it since launch, and the packs. I’m not particularly good at it, but I do love it. Also have the Portable version for my PSP.

  14. Not played SSHD for a while. Would definitely recommend a purchase at such a bargain price. It’s still one of my favourite PSN games.

  15. Hmm.. Now I’m really puzzled why I didn’t try it before I did today Thursday 25th June 2009.

*checks PS Store* Damn! Time machine didn’t move me anywhere! wonder why… Flux Capacitor isn’t fluxing :(

Just have to wait 2 days then :(
