In our quest for world domination, TSA now includes a community calendar. This will ensure that you the reader will never forget our birthdays, and provide evidence that we never take a holiday. But seriously, this calendar is a great tool for our wonderful community. The community calendar will play host to dates and information such as: community events; game releases; gaming events; mysterious announcements (rumoured or confirmed) to be made; coffee delivery dates. The calendar is located to the right of the page just under the box titles “hot stories”, unless you’ve been moving the boxes around.
We are very excited to bring this tool to the site and deem it a valuable asset for keeping the community knitted together and engaged in the wonderful events / competitions we have to offer. Whilst we still encourage you making notes of competition dates and times, the community calendar will obviously be available for those unsure and looking for solid info and confirmation.
As regards the game release dates, we shall try our damn hardest to bring you the most up-to-date release information, but please bare in mind that dates are subject to change. We recommend frequent use of this tool as we may have secret events to test your browsing skills. This together with major plans for more events and competitions is a great step for us all, and we remain confident that TSA should be the only site you need to visit for all your Playstation news, reviews and community action.
We are looking into regular weekly even daily events such as the Killzone 2 boot camps and tournaments, and we would like your feedback on this. The boot camps have been a great success in getting members together to enjoy the game with people you expect to be mature and enthusiastic. Whilst there is still a lot of humor thrown in, members remain sensible and the humor is mature and not childish or distasteful. Boot camps are still running and are a great way to experience Killzone 2 in multiplayer. However, having gained valuable experience from boot camp, we are looking to sprinkle some TSA magic over other current, past and future titles to cater for all members and the varied gaming genres.
Please feel free to comment with suggestions on what games you would like to see get more community support from TSA. Such games as Metal Gear Online, Red Faction, Motorstorm, GTA4 and H.A.W.X are examples of games that can cater for many. Your feedback is appreciated and all comments will be read and taken into consideration. I would also like to mention just how hard Nofi has worked to get the site looking as good as it is, and still find the time to add these wonderful features, the guy is a legend.

You may be a legend, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get paid more. You’ll just get praised. It sucks, I know

My only criticism is that there are rather a lot of bullet points going on in the calendar box.

Thats a bit funky looking, it’s like a cool domino.
Also, a wee bit of code needs to be added to bring the rollovers to the front as they are going under the next section, Nice feature though. Keep up the good work.

Is nofi really a human? Does he sleep? Is he a cylon?

i think nofi isn’t human, looking through all the posts and maybe over half of them are done by nofi, if nofi sleeps it must only be for minutes at a time.

I believe he’s T-800 in disquise, hunting down the John Connor of games. The only difference is, Nofi doesn’t get paid enough

Great idea. Now I can see which date I’m going to become King of Killzone
Seriously though, loving the (what seems to be daily) tweaks to TSA.

Good work. Loving the way the site has changed over the last months that I have been coming on daily.
On a not so related note. Could we get a reviews section added to the site so that we can easily go back and see all reviews that you lot have carried out. Would make a good tab.

Oh my god I have done it again. Please ignore me. I have just seen how to find reviews and it is pretty obvious now.
Sorry for the wasted comments.

Nice work Nofi…
What would be cool (as I’ve seen on other community sites) is the ability for certain events on the calendar to be “sign-uppable”.
So, for example, on the Warhawk event, you have an RSVP button you can click to say whether you plan to attend or not, so the event organiser has an instant overview of how many will be turning up, instead of having to go through all the responses.
Just a suggestion
Check out my “other” home over at the PlanetMGC community within xembly.com for an example…

Ive notice we dont have any Call of Duty action going on, neither COD4 or WaW.
Thats my suggestion as im sure plenty of people play those games and would love to have a clan going if possible.
Also UTIII, that is an awesome MP game to play and would lovesome TSAers to join me playing that.
C&C Red Alert 3, Resistance 2… the list could go on i reckon!!

Only Criticism is when I roll over the links the info boxes appear behind my hot stories box (or what ever is postioned below). Thats in firefox but not in opera; might have to start using opera permanently, which isn’t bad. However other than that its grrrrrrreat!
