Colmshan, I can understand if your bored and that’s fair enough but I think people can get annoyed if you don’t watch the amount and make sure all of your posts are relevant that’s all.

Nothing gets PS owners talking like a firmware update, it’s got to be between religion and politics on the debate scale. But seriously with a reference as credible as “Now VG247 are reporting, presumably via various threads by a certain poster on various forums going by the name of “Super_Secret”, how can anybody get excited? If you wish and speculate, you’re only going to be disappointed.

I’m sorry if I upset anyone with my comments. In my defence, I do not think that any of my comments were spam and any question I asked was genuine. I was away from home and slightly bored and tried to add my input to the conversations in the comment sections. I don’t normally comment that much, and probably won’t comment that much again. On a positive note, thanks for all the great articles as I wouldn’t read them, let alone comment if I thought they were boring.

It would more likely be that you would put the disc in, it would prompt you for an update but now you can do something else whilst waiting for it to download.

I understand why they (Sony) cannot allow custom avatars so that’s too bad but OK I guess but why are there so few different ones? I think Sony should make about 3000 new avatars (seriously how long could it take) and make sure every game released from point X onward has unlockable extra avatars tied to some of its trophies. I’m not saying I ‘need’ this or anything but it would be really nice to see some more variation!

Ive read the whole thing now and many of you have valid points, but none of you have mentioned our browser, which I consider to be rather underpar.

The last time I heard we were getting a contract with BBC to get BBCi player, I would really love to watch some programs in HD and download epic episodes of my favourite shows.

The one post that caught my attention though was the one saying, “I just put my disc in and play the game”, I agree sir- this is a games console after all and if sony are going to do anything then they should work to have exclusivity permanantly for the best games out there.

A lot of the other suggestions are not anywhere near as important as this imo.

We are heading in the right direction I say and although this may be a bit contradictorary I would like to see some of these things but am not going to get impatient waiting for them to happen.
After all these things take time and money to do.

We dont get BBCi player yet do we? and some you tube videos arnt compatible, at least the last time i checked they wernt,

Basically making our browser a really good one would be the best thing in my eyes.

Yes theres nothing “wrong” in a practical sense, but I don’t like it. So, since this has mostly turned into what we’d like to see in Firmware 3.0, I said I would like to see a redesigned XMB.

its not a copyright infringement for using a jpg as an avatar. + only deadbeats or teeny boppers use nude chicks as avatars ;D

some good ideas there, altho the XMB dosnt need any modifying, thats just being fussy.. they could have it so you could customize it i guess.. icon size: small, medium, large.
