If you’re getting close to mining every last piece of ore and tracking those hidden radio tags, fear not! THQ have just let us know that there’s more single-player destruction on the way to Red Faction: Guerrilla. Volition today announced the coming of three download packs for Guerrilla. The first of which – Demons of the Badlands – will feature a single-player mission arc that takes place in an entirely new Mars landscape outside of the existing expansive world.

Demons of the Badlands will be available for download on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network on 13 August. You can see the first 5 screens of the download pack in THQ’s Red Faction: Guerrilla screenshot gallery.

  1. Wish I’d known about this before I traded it in :(

  2. Red Faction sux anyways.

    • It sucks so bad it messed up your head and now you can’t spell. However, it’s actually rather good.

      • sorry , usually only girls get that sensitive, i wasn’t expecting to hurt anyone’s feelings. it was just an opinion, and opinions are personal preference and therefore NEVER wrong. so, for the sake of semantics, let me rephrase that for you , I THINK this game sucked. Better? or do you still feel the need to lash out in defense to a game title that you have some morbid sentimental attachment to?

      • not usually, but something about his post seemed to piss me off. apologies.

  3. Awsome! im really looking forward to this 8] Hope they wont cost to much..

  4. Wow, this is great news! I can’t wait for new areas to destroy. Now if I can just find a bit more salvage to get my nano-rifle tweaked up a notch.

  5. Yay! I gotta hurry up and finish the original content! I keep getting distracted by the multiplayer! :D

  6. I was really excited about this one, since it debuted in Game Informer, but then the demo came out and completely turned me off. This DLC sounds interesting and is pulling me back in. I like the idea of adding some real variety and would love to see the other two packs take the game’s action onto a space station or into some sort of artificial habitat.

    • I hope it’s better than the Saint’s Row DLC…

      • I’m expecting something similar to the Saints DLC. I’m not sure if I’d pick these up at this point.. I guess it really does depend on the content, I do want me some more Red Faction goodness, but if its just another Red Faction mission or a new multiplayer hammer skin for 10 bucks

  7. thats awesome news :-D

  8. Pricing is on Kotaku; 800 points, 9 bucks. So about 6 or 7 quid?

  9. Sweet. I’m really enjoying this game so far. It’s shame the big occupancy games are harder to find though. Or at least in my experience. It’s just a bit annoying that there are many decent games coming out soon : Uncharted 2, Bomberman Ultra, Fat Princess, Arkham Asylum. All ready to reduce the weight of my wallet. Boo!

    • And by big occupancy I’m referring to the multiplayer. Forgot to clarify.

  10. I still haven’t got my hands on this one, I’m waiting till I finish UNI though in August then I plan on adding it to my collection. I’ve heard people say it’s just alright but people that I know that have it really enjoy the game.

  11. Woo hoo. Can not wait. I have been waiting for a big Marauder based mission to come along in the main game but none yet and i’m nearly done!

    Sounds good

  12. which is better red faction or infamous? I have the money just can’t decide between the two.

  13. I love throwing remote charges on some poor EDF troopers heads and watching them run around screaming and trying to pry it off.
Any word if it’s a continuation of the original story, or completely new characters. As awesome as this game is, it’s a little lite on the story. Either way, it’s still great news.
@ robbond: if possible download both demos, as they both do a good job highlighting game play of each game. otherwise RF is all about destruction, and I mean complete destruction, while InFamous is more of a open world platformer with minor RPG elements. Both worthy, but I vote Faction.

  14. Do you feel the need to insult people for simply pointing out your spelling?

  15. Let me guess, you’re fairly new to the site? At least tell people why you thought it sucked. That’d give room for a discussion at least!

  16. I liked it, and was he really lashing up ?

  17. Sorry you missed the sarcasm.

  18. I played the demo and thought it was crap (single player demo) and after hearing every damn reviewer/podcaster rave about it I decided to give it a go and bought it.

The first area didn’t impress me but almost every part of the game after that I was hooked. It seemed a little short, but I haven’t done all of the side mission stuff or gotten all of the unlocks/etc. Not to mention I haven’t touched multiplayer ye, waiting for my mate to pick it up first.

  19. Lose the attitude, please.

  20. Sorry i over reacted. have it be known i love this site and everyone on it. ALMOST to the point of rainbows and triangles. :)
