Battlefield 1943: Community update

OK fans of Battlefield 1943, as you are aware there is no clan support for this title. But that doesn’t stop a site of our calibre in a quest to make things fun and interesting for our members.

We know that BF: 1943 supports private matches of 16 people and that means 2 squads of 8 fighting for control of an Island. Plans are already in place for TSA tournaments and we need to gather Intel on just how many of you would be interested in participating. We essentially need people to take the role of squad leaders and to gather up 7 more members to form an 8 man squad. This can be done in the forums or via the private message function in the forums. Once a squad has been decided its leader is to email me with the names of all 8 squad members where I will then assign the squad to the Japanese or the American side.

That is all I shall say on this at the moment except that you have until midnight next Thursday (16th July) to email me with your squads. Remember each squad needs 8 players and they must be TSA members, you may also designate a name for you squad to be indentified. No one member can be in any additional squads and any member leaving a squad will forfeit their TSA points entitlement from this tournament. Emails from squad leaders are to be sent to liam(at)thesixthaxis(dot)com and TSA staff cannot be selected to join a member’s squad.

There is also a Battlefield 1943 boot camp I am hosting tonight at 19:43 (GMT +1) and it is open to all members to join. As there are only 16 spaces available I can only accept 15 (plus myself) applications. Please state here if you are interested in going to battle tonight, I shall be hosting and playing this superb title into the early hours.
