Ghostbusters Charts in the UK 25

Another month, another SingStore downloads chart.  Last month the EU Blog published the first monthly chart of SingStore downloads which we covered as it was new and then, like now, there was little else happening in the world of PlayStation.  We had a few people ask if we would be listing the chart here each month so here it is.

Just as they did last month Evanescence top the chart but with a different track, My Immortal climbing five places to reach top spot.  Their number one from last month has slipped down one place while they have a third track, Lithium which is new at number eleven.  Clearly there are a lot of people out there convinced they can sing like Amy Lee when they are drunk.  We are just glad we cannot hear them or remember our own attempts the following morning.

Roxette’s entry at number four is surprising as it is a song pack rather than a single track and therefore costs £4.49 which is significantly more than the £0.99 for one track.  Containing Listen To Your Heart, Run To You, Fading Like A Flower, It Must Have Been Love and my personal favourite track from the Swedish pop duo, Spending My Time.

Other notable features of the chart are that the only artist other than Evanescence to have multiple entries is P!nk with tracks at both five and nine.  Flying the flag, for the second month, for tracks that are being added from SingStar’s back catalogue of PS2 titles is The Calling’s Wherever You Will Go which appeared on SingStar: Rock Ballads.  It is one of three tracks in this month’s download chart from that PS2 title along with Roxette’s Listen To Your Heart and It Must Have Been Love.  Perhaps the most distressing feature of the chart is Vanilla Ice’s continued presence on it.  Please Europe, stop buying that track.  Please.
