Why GT PSP Looks Awesome [30]

Smart people know that the PSP is about to go into overdrive in terms of new games, and the two games featured below prove that there’s still plenty of visual grunt to play with too. Last week Spanish site FaseExtra got the chance, via Sony of Spain, to get hands on with the new PSP go and its two new games: LittleBigPlanet and Gran Turismo. Both games were well received, with GT looking just as good as a PS2 game and LBP, although missing its customisation features at this stage, played perfectly.

Thanks, FaseExtra.

  1. The Gran Turismo Embed is broken.

    • neither of em work for me.

    • Seems like youtube is on maintanence

  2. lbp psp eta tba :)

  3. 1. It’s nice to see a Ferrari Enzo on the game, but why is the engine noise so rubbish, just sounds really generic.

    2. Where was he playing, in a kitchen?

    • Btw, have you stopped giving out points??
I’ve posted like four comments and got nothing in the way of points.

      • Same here!! No points awarded today!! :(

    • It does sound a bit like an RC car… Maybe this will be different in the full release. I would certainly like my Enzo to sound a bit more ballsy than that.

  4. They both look awesome!!! I only have a fat psp but and acording to sony it’ll all look the same on all psp’s!!! i’m impressed already!!!

  5. Meeeeeh, it looks good, no doubt, but it really doesn’t justify the price on the go. If I’m going to play a game on a handheld, I want some unique and not something, that I might as well play on a normal console. That’s my problem with the PSP, a lot of the games from the PSP, I would prefer to play it on my PS3, but I guess that’s why I got a DSi and not a PSP :)

  6. LBP never appealed to me on the PS3. However, I am so looking forward to GT5.

Think I’ll have to get GT Mobile on the PSP to tide me over until GT5 finally comes out!! The video above does look good. From memory, I think the circuit featured is Trial Mountain, and the graphics certainly do look on a par with the PS2’s. :)

  7. The PSP really has surprised me with how good it’s visuals are. As someone who doesn’t own a PSP, I thought it’d just be some crappy hand-held. But it looks like it’s got far more power behind it than I ever thought. I’m still not going to buy one though… it’s just not my kinda gaming.

  8. Good stuff. I’m excited for both of these games.
Still not sure which PSP I want to play them on, though

  9. Gran Turismo looking good. Though that guy shouldn’t be aloud to play – my kitten could drive better. He had the racing line on too with automatic gears – wuss.

Two good titles that are on my purchase list.

    • Better than the video of another guy playing it at E3, he couldn’t even go in a straight line.

  10. both looking nice, shame they could only squeeze 4 cars at once in gt though!

  11. LBP looks good.
GT aint for me and I don’t think it looks good either.

  12. Not fussed about GT series but LBP is looking good on PSP. That is the type of game that is ideal for the handheld. It’s more aking to the ye-olde side scrolling games just with superior graphics. The simplicity in controls will benefit it too. Should be a pretty damn good experience imo.

    • *More AKIN to…..

  13. LBP looks ace. Well GT does for that matter to..

Shame I dont and wont have a PSP, at the price their going for!
    I’ll get GT5 though :D

  14. Both looking good to me. Could be the push I need to go down the PSP route.

  15. little big planet looks amazing will it be released on umd as well
