Everyone’s favourite future racer, WipEout HD, has just seen its 2.00 update rolled out across the PlayStation Network. The patch, which includes a new statistics section, tweaks to online gameplay and new community aspects is a precursor to tomorrow’s Fury expansion. Our suggestion: grab the 100MB patch now and stay tuned for the official TSA verdict on Fury, which we’re hoping to get on to the site tonight…

Also some sites including wipeoutzone.com have posts concerning the new patch which whilst bringing some nice new features has also brought some random framerate drops, some say these are being reduced so here is hoping its just a slight bug.

can never be a simple patch that actually works anymore. Help Help, I need a patch for my patch that you patched up yesterday….stupid and tiresome.

It may just be a quick problem with the servers as it seems to be improving, no real confirmation on that though.
Can’t test myself as my PS3 is still in for repair

This went live last night, the new stats pages are really quite impressive. Your progress towards Arcade Perfect (if you haven’t got it
) is shown, as are your online & offline eliminations. The number of photos taken is borked tho, I’ve taken quite a few photo’s but nowhere near 1911!!

Very impressed, but have I missed something,is it me or is It a bit easier?.I’m not as crap as I used to be. in a previous update did they make steering easier I’m sure when I originally played it was a lot harder,and on phathom was always hearing “contender eliminated” ie me.

nah it was some updates before where the added novice mode to the campaign menu
