Universal Music Locked For SingStore

The Singstar team finally get Universal Music on the SingStore.

We’ve just been told that Universal Music have signed up for the European SingStar SingStore. This is great news for SingStar fans as it’ll mean more chart-topping hits from the biggest names, more choice and more songs to sing with your friends and family. The first major installment of Universal content will be arriving on 8th August 2009, including classic hits from Elton John and The Police, right up to the latest sounds of Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers.

SingStar is also pleased to announce that, due to popular demand from the SingStar community, it has brought the SingStore release of The Jackson Five’s “I Want You Back” forward to 23rd July – two weeks ahead of the August instalment. “As the biggest name in competitive singing, SingStar is delighted to partner with the world’s leading music company,” says Dave Ranyard, Executive Producer of SingStar. “The SingStore for SingStar PS3 is all about choice, about calling the shots yourself and having Universal Music on board will give SingStore users the biggest choice of pop hits ever.”
